…Good to remember, especially when the night before is so dark.
As I foolishly promised, here’s the follow-up to yesterday’s pre-op “before” video. Maybe instead of “foolish”, I should have said “in faith” or something. Well, you be the judge.
Still iPhoning it in, by the way…
Thanks, guys. The BrainyVideo Show is once again cleared for take-off…

Prayers and positive energy combined with skilled hands of a surgeon result in a dear person receiving and sending an emotional and uplifting recovery
Stephen, I kept thinking about you yesterday and I am so glad it all turned out well. Bravo. And thank you for sharing the demonstration
Steve, My thoughts and prayers were with you yesterday and I am so thrilled to see you today. Let’s hope it continues to improve as the days go by.
Steve, I’m so happy to see that you’re in great shape. God was watching over you. I’m sure you positive attitude will persevere over any remaining obstacles that you’ll encounter. I’ve enjoyed your videos and you’ve always been responsive and instructive on our emails. I wish you nothing but continued success and good health!
Thank God 🙂 Am so grateful and pray that it’s a smooth climb from here. So good to hear your voice.
Well done you! And your surgeon and everyone else.
Please take things easy – no yodelling, or joining in a Pavarotti aria et cetera.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing you whenever you feel like it.
Kindest regards,
Zara.
You are amazing! Wishing you peace and comfort.
Sounding good, Steve. Yay!
So happy to see you up and at ’em!! Congratulations. Now rest up a bit. OK?
I’ll try. It’s hard not to smile when the phone rings now. 🙂
There’s nothing like an experience like this to remind us of our powerlessness. Continue to heal.
By the way looking forward to hearing more of what you have to say… since you can.
Hey Steven,
Great to see and hear you up and talking the next day! When you first promised a video the next day, I half expected to see a silent movie!
Godspeed to you and I hope your recovery is more full than you, or anyone else could’ve expected.
Looking forward to hearing more of your wit and wisdom in the future, so take care!
Glad to see the miracle. I had a number of people praying for you.
Looking forward to more videos.
James
Glad to see the miracle. Had a number of people praying for you that I know.
Looking forward to more videos.
James
Awesome! So happy to see that things have improved for you!
Yay! Remarkable difference, huge relief and hope you can take the time to rest your voice so the “eating part” can be attended to. There are better ways to fit back into one’s “skinny jeans”!
Oh, and great job with the ear worm…now I can’t get rid of “there’s got to be a morning after…”
Take care of yourself.
So glad to hear you with more of your voice intact. I just watched both videos today, so I’m of course very happy to hear / see the improvement. Prayers for you, Steve…
Steve, at the risk of sounding superficial, you look YEARS younger today.
That’s a really comprehensive result from throat surgery! It indicates
that everything in you, in the surgeon and his/her assistants in the OR,
and in your surround (near and far) were all aligned. Great to hear
your gentle and thankful voice today!
It might have been the substance they injected. When the nurse was prepping, she held it gingerly in her hands and said in an almost worshipful tone “and here’s the magic box.”
The point? I hear it’s often used in plastic surgery.
Hi Steve,
I watched your pre-op video and, although I didn’t post my thoughts I was thinking about you a lot. I am thrilled that you are on the road to recovery.
And I don’t think you shared too much with the first video. It moved me and that is a good thing.
Looking forward to seeing more of your fantastic videos and awesome advice.
Alan from Perth Australia.
Congrats Steve! Glad to see your back to making talkies.
Make my day!
David
Awesome news Steve!!! 🙂
I’m very, very happy for you, Steven. I send you every best wish I have.
yayyyy!!!!! 🙂 I had the hugest smile on my face when you started talking! so glad to hear you are better. <3
Congrats on your successful operation. Have faith it will only get better.
Sounding great Steve. Given the before and after it is amazing what the surgeons did for your voice.
So glad it all worked out for you.
Bob
WAHOOO! You sound great Steve! Very good news. Keep on filming!!
Fantastic! Smooth sailing!
Miracles do happen. Things are going to keep getting better and better for you, Steve. Life has a crazy way of throwing us curve balls and we find out how strong we truly are, and we emerge to a new chapter stronger, better, and wiser. You’re there! Wishing you continued improvement.
Good on ya mate … from Kiwi land. 🙂
Yay, Go Steve… also from Kiwi land
Very nice Steve. God bless and keep on doing what you do!
This is very, very good news Steve.
I’m so happy to hear you again
Just remember Steve “Tough times never last but tough people do!’ glad to see you’re on my computer screen teaching all us video is the future for cyber space…….
Hooray!!! This actually inspired biggest smile that I’ve had all day. Excellent!
Very happy that you’re making your way back. Good health always – Dom.
YAY!!! So glad for you Steve. 🙂 🙂 Not only because you won’t need to start liking Haggis after all, since apparently you did NOT acquire a Scottish brogue in the process 🙂
My very best thoughts to you and all those around you –
Violet
AWESOME!! WONDERFUL!! OUTSTANDING!!
Welcome back Steve. Glad you made it through surgery and VERY glad that you can talk, almost normally again.
Larry
Good morning Steve,
Hearing your voice and seeing you doing so much better has completely made my day!
I know we are all so glad you are on the mend.
God bless and have a terrific, restful weekend.
David
Yay! Yay! Yay! I was so relieved when you started speaking. It was so beautiful to watch yesterday’s video and now todays. You are surrounded by angels : ) Take care xx
Damn and double damn!!
Here I was practicing your deep gravelly voice so I could do all your voice overs and you could do your Marcel Marceau lip sync to it but alas, I’ll never get to be the voice of Steve Washer.
Just kidding of course, so happy for you Stevie Wonder 🙂
Well there was lots of asking and praying yesterday – so what else can we do but lots of thanking today! And I’m so pleased that you’re making such good progress.
Keep on progressing, dear Steve, by taking plenty of R&R, so your resources are available to do the healing.
Blessings.
This is incredibly encouraging. Thank you.
Glad you’ve found insights here worth considering.
Expect more…
Hi Steve
Glad to see that the surgery went well. In the first few moments of this video I thought you were not going to speak and like Amelia was relieved to finally hear your voice. Looking forward to seeing more from you. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I’m glad that you and Amelia mentioned that. I wanted to demonstrate a simple way of creating suspense in a video. Since everyone knew the score going in, not speaking initially was a way of raising the suspense, which also makes the video more fun.
There was one other important lesson which no one has commented on yet, but I’ll talk about that another time. Yes, talk. Wow. It’s so nice to be able to write that…
!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! You sound like yourself again!!!!
Two vocal cords, one vocal cord… sound great both ways. And this new voice is very hypnotizing, seductive… could be a very good thing in marketing… really keeps your attention for listening to stories. Will be very interesting ‘hearing’ updates of your voice as you heal… keep ’em coming.
Steve:
You look great. Things are going up from here my friend.
This was a very wonderful page to see this morning. Thankful prayers keep going. Mom
