Back in 2016 I produced a video called “How to Get a Flawless Green Screen Shoot in a Tiny Room.”
Here it is if you’d like to check it out: Green Screen in Small Spaces
But recently I began to wonder about that.
What if I took that same footage shot so long ago with a camera I’ve upgraded twice since then and ran it through a couple of the editing tools I use today? Could it look noticeably better?
And I was shocked. I mean really shocked.
It seems that getting the lighting right the first time has even more of an effect than I had previously imagined.
This means your job could be so much easier if you want to make videos with a green screen.

RobusKey? Hmm…I forgot to walk in front of my GS lights on the last shoot, but thankfully I had marked my spot w blue painter’s tape. The fringe could have made my clip totally unusable. Geesh!
Sounds like you’ve made that part of your checklist. And so yet another way to save your shoot!
Steve, thank so much for all your gifts of knowledge and experience (hard-won I’m sure)
You always succeed at providing value!

Well, the “hard-won” at least is true. 😉
