So the world has gone quite mad lately, both literally and figuratively.
It’s also happened on schedule, as it has for as long as there have been humans living in groups.
But right now this can present challenges in selling for many businesses. Results are tanking, or at least limping along. It doesn’t have to be this way.
I think it’s really helpful to know where we are now on the Zeitgeist Calendar. That way you’ll know how to frame any marketing or sales presentation. It’s really kind of spooky when you realize what’s going on.
Oh, and I hope you enjoy the cameos by Captains Kirk and Pickard, Mr. Spock, the Borg and the Pacleds.
Who are the Pacleds, you ask? Yeah, I didn’t know either. But they’re hilarious. So just what does all this tomfoolery have to do with selling more with video?
You’ll see 🙂

I’d be honored…
Just what I needed! Thanks. I’ve been around the block a few times and I have seen that swing but didn’t know enough about it to act on it. It’s like reading the future to my advantage! I felt ageism would play harm into my success, but with this idea I have something to take hold of. What is your take on older folks using video for success? On tv I just see medical ads!!!
Thanks again.
I see the key somewhat as group identity. Older folks have a natural group affinity that doesn’t even need to be discussed. It happens naturally, and that’s the best way for attraction to happen. Like love, it doesn’t call attention to itself, but it’s hard to miss.
I think it’s amazing how giving the name to something makes it much more understandable. The “Me Swing” and the “We Swing.” How exquisite! And then, describing each in such eloquently simple terms allows instantaneous flashes of insight into the issues — WOW. How masterful — I am amazed.
I’ve been struggling to complete a marketing piece, a white paper, wherein I was trying to express somewhat similar concepts. My progress is been stalled because I’ve been experiencing difficulty in clarifying my own thinking so as to be able to produce a proper narrative and calls to action. I need to do some more research, but I think you’ve opened a door to a passageway through the fog for me. Thank you, Stephen. Bravo.
Thanks, William, though I think Roy and Michael should get all the credit for this one!
Yes, probably so. I got it from you though, so I can’t forget that.
The pendulum analogy is very powerful Steve. We’re all looking for resonance and harmony, which of course are intrinsic to understanding the pendulum’s properties. Small inputs, when applied at the right time can yield big results. QED! Thanks for these inspiring vignettes.
It’s such a privilege to bring them here, Jeremy. I know you must feel somewhat like that about the very cool videos you’re posting these days!
Powerful video Steve. Really helps me make sense of the world around me!
